Help me, help dogs!
Every year in Canada, thousands of dogs are produced in mass numbers. The estimated number of
puppy mills in Quebec is over 2,000! If each puppy mill had 100 dogs, who were bred 2 times a year the
average number of puppies coming from one source would be 1200 puppies! Now times that by 2000!
They believe there is over 400,000 puppy mill puppies being born a year in Quebec alone! It's
absolutely mind boggling!
I have previously raised money to help the dogs rescued from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. I
have also helped individual dogs, sent here from New Orleans, find new owners through our training
program at Olds College. It may not be a lot, but it's something. And if everybody did a little, it would
end up being a lot!
I've decided to help in a couple more ways but I need help from you. I am trying to raise money to help
care for the rescued puppies. From now on, anyone coming to visit my dogs, will have to donate $20 to
Humane Society International Canada. They can either give me the money and I will collect it and send
it in or they can make a donation directly themselves. That means that either I will have to trust you to
do it, or you will have to trust me to do it. I'm happy either way.
The second way I've come up with is a little more complicated but I think is a good idea. I am a
representative for a company called Fortune High Tech Marketing. FHTM is a company who pays reps
for selling products. In this case, there is a huge variety of products. It includes long distance plans,
internet providers, VOIP, health supplements, office assistance, exercise programs etc. It will soon
have a virtual mall with over 600 stores. Virtually anything you want to buy on line will be in that mall.
You can even book your travel arrangements through FHTM!
I will donate a percentage of my sales from FHTM to Humane Society International Canada.
Something that rings true with me, time after time, is you have to give back! My dogs have given me my
dream life. They give without restriction, the give without thought, they give without judgement. I want
to give back. I want to give back more!

that has been bought out of the paper, or from a pet store. 9 out of 10 times, these puppies have come from
a puppy mill! Unsuspecting, well meaning people, like yourself, are tricked into thinking that this is a
single litter that was an accident and they "just want good homes" for. HOGWASH! Or from the pet store
"We don't buy from puppy mills, only responsible local breeders" BS!! There are NO RESPONSIBLE
BREEDERS WHO SELL TO PET STORES! EVER!
Think about it. They sell to whoever has money or a credit card. There is no sorting out who will provide
a good home for the dog and who won't. There is a 30 day health guarantee that isn't worth the paper it's
written on. If you are unable to keep the dog, they will not take it back. The list goes on and on and on.
